Vietnam spent over 8.3 billion U.S. dollars importing nearly 11.4 million tons of steel and iron in the first 10 months of this year

The latest release of global steel production statistics for 2017 revealed a rather robust global growth rate of 5.3% over 2016 (see worldsteel press release).

World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 139.4 million tonnes (Mt) in January 2018, a 0.8% increase compared to January 2017.
